Of course, the main attraction of this seaside town is it wide sandy and safe beaches. A variety of water sports are widely participated in by both locals and holiday visitors alike.  Sailing is a pastime enjoyed by many people living in or visiting Fuengirola.  Indeed, the modern marina can be found alongside the traditional fishermans port where you can still see daily catches being taken ashore.

For children Fuengirola offers many popular attractions, including a large aqua park and Fuengirola Zoo. The Zoo has gained significant acclaim in recent times for its work with the captive breeding of endangered species.

Historically rich, the town has ruins dating from the Roman and Moorish invasions. The most obvious if the Castle Sohail which sits on a hill high above the town at the mouth of the river. It was originally constructed in the 10th century and has also undergone a regeneration programme. It now plays hosts to various concerts, festivals and club nights.

Of course, Fuengirola is also home to some great restaurants and bistros, popular pubs and an array of different retail shopping options.  Ideal for golf lovers there are many beautiful golf courses located close to Fuengirola.
